a. Account Information

Phone number (for authentication), date of birth (to confirm 18+), profile details (name, photos, bio, target gender, and optional fields such as religion, education, workplace, zodiac sign).

b. User Content

Photos, videos, messages, and circle details you create or send.

c. Device & Usage Data

User ID, Device ID, push tokens, usage activity, matches, swipes, app interactions, crash logs, and performance diagnostics.

d. Customer Support

Information you provide when contacting support.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Operate core app features (profiles, chats, circles)
  • Authenticate users
  • Enable safety and moderation
  • Improve performance and stability
  • Communicate about updates and policies

3. Sensitive Information

Optional profile fields (e.g., religion, target gender, workplace, education) are considered sensitive:

  • Always optional
  • Visible only within Circlez
  • Used solely for product functionality
  • Never sold or used for advertising

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your data. We only share data with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, authentication, notifications)
  • Authorities when required by law or for safety

4.1 Circle Owner Access

When you join a circle, selected profile details (such as name, photos, age range, and bio) become visible to the circle owner for moderation and community management.

Circle owners may not use member data outside Circlez for marketing, solicitation, scraping, or off-platform contact. Violations may result in permanent suspension.

5. Data Retention

Data is stored while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and messages are removed from active systems. Limited records may be retained for legal or safety reasons.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data
  • Withdraw consent for optional fields
  • Request a data copy
  • Lodge a complaint with a regulator

7. Age Restriction

Circlez is for users 18+ only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards such as encryption and secure storage. However, no system is 100% secure.

We may log and review moderation-related profile access by circle owners for abuse prevention and legal compliance.

9. International Users

Your data may be stored and processed on servers located outside your home country through trusted service providers.
